How it works

Intensive outpatient (IOP), in depth.

Intensive outpatient care keeps recovery at the center of your life while you go on living it — at home, at work, at school. It is the step where treatment and everyday responsibilities start to share the same week.

The foundation is simple and proven: relapse-prevention skills, individual therapy and group therapy, several sessions a week on a schedule that flexes around your commitments. Co-occurring mental-health conditions are treated here too, and many of our staff have walked this road themselves — so the support comes with real understanding, not just training.

IOP is a bridge. It is where people stepping down from residential or PHP rebuild a normal routine, and where those who do not need higher-intensity care can still get serious support. Over time the sessions taper, with a 12-step connection and an aftercare plan carrying you the rest of the way.
